Cowboys!

If you happen to find yourself in the Morningside area be especially observant in the area of Spring Valley Gardens. A street that looks like any other but has a particularly interesting hidden gem tucked away in one of its alleyways. Affectionately known by Edinburgh locals as the "Wild West" you will find yourself transported to a movie set in the wild west! I had heard rumours that this little alley was used as a movie set originally, but sadly this was not the case! It was created around 1995 to add to the interest of a furniture business, its authenticity largely due to the fact that one of the people involved in building it apparently worked on Euro Disney!

Sadly, the furniture business is no longer there, however lots of other businesses still function around the Wild West, I think a garage is one of them and if you look closely you will see one of the doors is the back door of Morningside Library. You can venture down to the Wild West anytime you like, it is completely accessable and no one seemed to mind when we were there taking photos. It's just another one of Edinburgh's well kept secrets...
