So you're out for a walk in Leith on a Sunday morning, got your dog, your little dude or dudette and you get a hankering for some mighty fine food... Where do you go ?

Look no further my friends because Cafe Tartine

accepts you all! Dogs, children, even loud annoying people! ( probably ) The standout feature with them though is that they allow children until midnight which is amazing if you want to book a get together and you know that lack of babysitters may be a problem for lots of guests... They also have plenty of room for buggies!

French food is not normally my thing, I'm more of a seafood gnocchi and linguine kinda gal but there are quite a few great options that even non Frenchies like me love ! The pork belly is lush! The lamb - as pictured was probably the nicest lamb I've ever eaten, so tender! The children's menu is one of the best I've seen, with choices such as prime scotch beef burger or free range chicken burger, french toast, salmon and savoury or sweet crepes! Much better than chips and a sausage ! (though I should point out they do sausages and mash for little fingers too!)

But, it's the breakfasts that really draw me in, I'm a sucker for a good brunch! They do the usual eggs florentine, full Scottish and eggs and salmon - or portobello mushrooms for those vegies. But its the crepes, its all about the crepes people! They are the only place to go for crepes in Edinburgh, I will not accept crepedge anywhere else ( I know crepedge is not an actual word but I feel very passionately about crepes) after you've had their crepes you wont be going anywhere else!

The service is friendly, there's plenty of room for big groups and they often have live music! Get your crepe, French food loving self down there and take your dogs / children ... and Grandma - why not I bet she goes off on a crepe !
