Christmas Fun with Little Ones

Its CHRIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAAS! Well its almost upon us anyway! Theres loads of stuff to take your little ones to. Princess street Gardens and St Andrews Square not to mention the Virgin Money Street of Light on the Royal MIle . All run by Edinburgh Christmas
This year Princess Mall are getting in on the act with Reindeer Land - with real live Reindeer - who wouldnt want to see that! From December 19th - 24th. It opens this Saturday with a Christmas extravaganza and also includes a Santa sleigh ride, an ice maze a helter skelter and a german sausage stand just to name a few!
Greater Grassmarket is also running a Christmas Market every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 6pm with street food stalls and loads of Christmas gifts. They also have a Christmas Community Stage which will be packed with local performers and is available for YOU to get involved! So if you have a budding performer inside of you just waiting to bust out some moves check out their Facebook page here It all kicks off this Saturday with the official launch and the Christmas lights being switched on.
For Christmas carols head down to the Central Library on December 18th. At 11:00am their staff all come together on the Library steps to sing, its a great thing to take little dude & dudettes to as they can sing along and dance about and best of all its free!
The Cameo Cinema is holding a charity event for The Teapot Trust on Monday 14th December at 11am with a special toddler time screening of The Snowman & The Snowdog! Tickets are £3.00 but if your under 1 your free! Afterwards there will be craft activities and some special Frozen visitors care of Jojos Little Party People ! The craft cafe is £3.00 per child - parents are free and all proceeds for the craft activities go directly to The Teapot Trust providing art therapy to children with chronic illnesses. Tickets available on The Cameo website or on the day at the door.
The Edinburgh Royal Botanical Gardens are holding - Meet Santa at the Botanics From Saturday 12th December through till Christmas Eve, he will even be wandering around the gardens and who knows, you might even get a Santa Selfie! So get down ther eand see the big man himself. But make sure you stay off his naughty list!
This Saturday for the first time ever, there is also the Edinburgh Christmas Santa Parade through Stockbridge starting at 930am where Santa and his elves will be pulled through the streets by his Reindeer and sleigh! Tying in with the Santa runs, tinsel parade and Santa toddle all happening in Inverleith park over the course of the weekend, as part of the Edinburgh Christmas Charity Festival its going to be busy!
So, there you have it, my pick of Christmas Festivities happening over the next few weeks! now if you can just get your Christmas shopping done, your all set to get out there and do them all !
