First Book of 2016

Hello booklovers!
This year we have decided to work on a "best of 2015" list, as we all know and are quite used to missing all the bestsellers and the books everyone are talking about! Not from lack of interest, simply because we never ever EVER get around to it.
If you're anything like me - ie someone's mother, by the time you get into bed your either too knackered, too in need of just watching something mindless and "happy" to be able to focus on anything with a plot you actually need to concentrate on.
But no this year my aim, as I'm sure is the same for the rest of the book group is to kick some literature arse and make every single meet up this year! SMUG, YES! But I have already made one meet up and I'm into our first book of the year already The Girl On The Train! I'm a few chapters in and it definetly has me hooked! It is also being made into a film, as I type, so I can definetly see another cinema trip on the cards for BBGs this year.
So get reading, and, if you're not in a book group but always thought about it, this is your year join us! We're not too serious, I promise no -one has ever had a debate about "themes" or "subplots!" We do however, always talk about the best cocktail on the menu, the funniest tantrum had by our little dudes and dudettes ... and eventually we even get around to talking about the book of choice! So Happy Reading and here's to a 2016 full of literary greats and managing to stay awake long enough to read them all.... Babaganosh book group ... you know you want to.
