LOVE

Love is really very simple and messy and imperfect and of course it comes to mean something completely different for those of us with children.. Love comes in many forms... Love is what makes you happy .... I do tend to use the word Love a lot, there's a lot to love and be grateful for in my life...

Chocolate - mostly peanut butter chocolate but Im not fussy chocolate in all forms, clean sheets, coffee - hot, strong, new magazines popping through the door once a month, a great book, Jones & Sons pulled pork rolls - unbeatable! Dumplings, carrot cake, watching snow falling when your tucked up inside, scented candles, everything about Christmas, ballet, fairy lights, sunshine on a freezing cold blue sky day, deer - they are the most majestic of animals, really hot days on the beach, breakfasts with friends, jack daniels, macarons! The smell of vanilla, coffee and babies! A really good crime film - I am my mothers daughter, Jimmy Stewart, people falling over really badly on the internet - I laugh so much it makes my stomach hurt, interior design shows, the way my mother and father dressed when they were younger - the HATS! My husband walking through the door - much better when he is clean shaven (which doesn't happen often) everything about my little boy of course but the most love is reserved for: His hysterical laugh when he cant stop, his dancing, anytime he gets excited about anything and his eyes light up when hes telling you about it, his hair which is so thick it actually bounces when he moves, when he climbs into bed with us in the mornings and you feel his little arms creep over your shoulder to cuddle you, his bottom wiggle when hes doing a little shake after a wee, and of course his tiny little nude bum which no matter when I see it it makes me smile..

There's a lot to LOVE when you think about it, and not in a cliched way.. Forget the roses and heart shaped chocolates this valentines day and just grab the people you love and do something you LOVE ! Even if that means downing bottles of prosecco till your eyeballs explode! It is valentines day afterall.
